To SIG or not to SIG: And If Your Chapter Does, What Then?
Tuesday, January 25, 3:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. CT, 1:00 p.m. MT, 12:00 p.m. PT)

Facilitator: Dawn Adams Miller (Charlotte)

Does your chapter want its own Writers Guild? Or maybe its own media outlet? If the answer is yes then you need to consider starting a Special Interest Group or SIG. Special Interest Groups are an added value to members of a chapter. It’s a targeted way of networking with others who share your interests and challenges, recruit new members or give back to the community. This webcast covers how to set up, organize, and run a Special Interest Group (or a group of groups). During this webcast attendees will:

  • Describe the challenges associated with establishing a Special Interest Group.
  • Describe three ways of setting up a Special Interest Group within your chapter’s infrastructure, or not!
  • Describe the five main components of a successful Special Interest Group.
